    • Benchmark leading models for differentiation.

  • Stakeholder Buy-In

    • Align with Product, Finance, Ops, and Customer Success teams.

    • Appoint an internal Pricing Steering Committee to oversee implementation and governance.

  • Introduction to Pricing Intelligence

    • Phase 1: Educate internal stakeholders on margin mechanics, price elasticity, and cost-to-serve models.

    • Phase 2: Introduce beta-level reporting dashboards for internal users to measure quote quality and profit.

  • Infrastructure Setup

    • Identify system touchpoints (data lake, workflow engine, quoting API).

    • Define compliance guardrails and reporting structures early.

Phase 2

Vooma Revenue Management

(Internal Product)

  • Cross-Functional Alignment:

    • Pricing, Tech, Ops, and Finance collaboration on data and workflows.

    • Governance body to approve pricing rules, audit margins, and track KPIs.

  • Cost Modeling & Expense Framework:

    • Build an internal cost model (fixed vs. variable) to compute true cost per transaction.

    • Establish “cost-to-serve” mapping per customer, carrier, and region.

  • Margin Goals & Targets:

    • Define profitability targets by segment, geography, and customer size.

    • Implement auto-alerts for margin leakage.

  • Zoning / Lane Architecture:

    • Create internal “Vooma Lane Index” or “Zoning Model” to cluster similar shipping patterns for better forecasting.

Vooma Margin (Customer Product)

  • Customer-Driven Pricing Build-Up:

    • Gather customer pricing workflows, pain points, and decision data.

    • Prioritize MVP modules (Cost, Margin, Dynamic).

  • Pricing MVP for Beta Customer:

    • Release to a controlled customer group (2–3 brokerages).

    • Enable visibility into cost, margin, and profitability by transaction.

  • MVP Features:

    • Basic cost model (manual inputs + data import).

    • Static margin logic with dashboard visualization.

    • Real-time margin output on each quote.

  • A/B Testing & Feedback Loop:

    • Compare “with-Vooma-Margin” vs. “without” win rates and profitability.

    • Collect feature-level feedback for iteration.

Phase 3

Internal Revenue Management 2.0

  • Integrate with machine learning for predictive win-rate pricing.

  • Introduce Dynamic Margin Optimization Engine: adjusts target margins by load type, customer history, or seasonality.

  • Expand reporting to include:

    • Profitability by product, carrier, and customer.

    • Forecasted revenue impact by pricing policy.

  • Link pricing KPIs to org-level OKRs (profit per load, margin variance, speed-to-quote).

External Product (Vooma Margin 2.0)

  • Introduce Dynamic Pricing Algorithms: real-time rate adjustment based on capacity, lead time, and routing gaps.

  • Recommendation Engine: AI-suggested price points based on historical success rates and market conditions.

  • Compliance & Audit Layer: Built-in pricing approval rules and audit logs for customers.

  • Commercialization:

    • Move from beta to paid subscription model.
